Freestyle Salon and Day Spa
Our Salon and Day Spa brings New York and California chic to Newtown, Pennsylvania. Careful and creative attention to detail and high standards for quality assure you the finest in specialized care by our highly trained and experienced stylists, therapists and estheticians.
It is critical to offer the latest services in the most up to date way, however, it was also very important that we kept the integrity of our 1860’s era building alive in the new parts of the salon as well. The original building was built in 1860 and the first addition was added in about 1916. Many treasures that had been hidden for almost a hundred years were uncovered during the recent demolition process and are now lovingly displayed in the salon.
In addition to these treasures the salon has been designed to expose as much of the original detailing as possible including much of the original millwork. To enhance all of the items found inside the walls, many period touches have been added as a reminder of the buildings past. Chippendale chairs have been added to the reception room and sheet music from the 1915 era has been framed and added. Many early photographs of Newtown also adorn the walls, as well as featured art and photography from local artists.
The second floor of the salon has now been transformed exclusively for spa services. The addition of new treatment rooms and a manicure/pedicure room assures clients a relaxed and private atmosphere. The theme in the upstairs spa is "Love" or as we like to say "A Warm Embrace". From the moment you set foot on the stairs the atmosphere is hushed and warm. Various pieces of art are hung that intrigue the viewer with thoughts of love and togetherness. The banister is original to the building, and the hardwood floors and much of the trim have been restored to their original condition.
We will continue to listen to the needs of our clients and are now offering couples massages, and many plentiful designer salon and spa packages.
